A few more photos of the resort before we headed out.
Our one sightseeing stop today is the White Stupa. It isn’t a stupa at all but a series of white
cliffs only a few miles from the resort.
If we were younger and had more time this would have been a great place
to do some hiking. Instead, we just
enjoyed the views from the top.

This entrepreneur was set up at the parking lot of the White
Stupa. He had a generator going to keep
the drinks cold, picnic tables and umbrellas…everything needed for an entrepreneurial
business.
Then it was off for the long and bumpy drive back to Ulaanbaatar. After an hour or so we back on the main paved road but parts of that were in desperate need of total replacement…more holes than pavement. Very little walking done but the bumps certainly registered as a lot of walking.
This is a screenshot from Mary's phone indicating that she walked 11,409 steps today...we didn't walk. This was all bumps in the road.
But the scenery was pretty...almost green.
and flocks of goats and sheep.
Had a couple of rest breaks along the way. This one was at a convenience store that very much resembled those in the US. Lots of drinks and snacks.
And this interesting unisex bathroom.
We were back in Ulaanbaatar by late afternoon. Jessica, Paul and Mary went up to the hotel’s lounge for a light dinner before heading back to the room to repack for tomorrow’s trip to our next stop.
